Brad Eisenberg, Founder, BE Lean

Hi! I’m Brad Eisenberg.

I’m a business scalability consultant.

I work with growing businesses that are at the point where everything that used to be fun and simple has become messy and complex.

I help my clients see what’s REALLY happening in their business, fix what isn’t working, and create custom, scalable operating systems so that they can get out of the weeds and actually grow their business.

Because when your operations are smooth and streamlined, you've got the foundation to scale (and more time to do what you really want to do).

Here’s what gets me out of bed in the morning…

I believe that business can be a vehicle for positive change in the world.

Early in my career, this belief was my singular focus. I became passionate about sustainability and the environment, and I wanted to make an impact. With three friends at the University of Maryland, I created the first stationless bike sharing company in North America. We were 10 years too early, but weBike gave me a taste of entrepreneurship, and there was no turning back.

During that time, I joined an environmental startup called greeNEWit. Over nine years, greeNEWit grew from the back room of a house at the end of a cul-de-sac to a multi-million dollar leader of Maryland’s energy economy.

I was honored to lead greeNEWit as its COO, and my proudest moment was watching our team accept the US Environmental Protection Agency’s award for ENERGY STAR®  Contractor of the Year.

Just a year after receiving that award, greeNEWit went out of business following a series of unexpected budget cuts and program freezes in the subsidized markets we operated within. It was devastating not only to our team, but to our entire industry.

As difficult as that experience was, my belief never wavered that business can be one of the most powerful drivers of positive change in the world. But I was overwhelmed by how many businesses ultimately fail to reach their potential.

Businesses should live or die on the merits of their ideas, not their executional shortcomings.

People don’t start businesses because they want to run a business. They do so because they’re passionate about what they do and they want to leave their mark on the world. They want the freedom to create a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.

These were the same reasons why I got into business in the first place. Entrepreneurship gave me the agency to carve my own path and create the life that I wanted.

I feel called to help others do the same.

That’s why I started BE Lean.

You’ll find in me an unwavering commitment to your success, an insatiable sense of curiosity, and an uncommonly balanced skill set across operations, technology, finance, and strategy.

I’ll push you to consider possibilities you never have. I’ll question the assumptions you’ve made of the way your business operates. And I’ll take every care and consideration to create solutions that work for all of the components of your business - your people, your processes, your purpose, and your profit.

So if the systems you’re using are causing more frustration than value…

If you want to take your business to the next level but are struggling to get there…

If you crave the freedom to spend less time working in your business and more time working on it…

You’re ready to BE Lean.
